Dr. Hernandez began his journey to his medical career as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Hernandez continued his postdoctoral training with a general surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. He rounded out his clinical training with a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hernandez also conducts research and has been published in peer review journals. He is active in the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.

Our ultrasound capabilities are unmatched. We have two state of the art Mindray ultrasound units, and we can perform all the necessary vascular ultrasound studies to complement the care that we deliver. We have a comfortable ultrasound room and a staff that is professional and thorough. The ultrasounds are performed by one of our two Registered Vascular Technologists, or RVTs, the highest possible credentialing that can be achieved by ultrasound technologists.
